Why do so many people get upset when there is "bad" queer rep in media??

I just hate when someone online talks about how a certain author is bad just because they wrote or drew sa/rape, but only because it was between queer people. They complain about how it gives bad rep towards the community. Personally, I find those people to be QUITE dense. Not every queer individual is a saint, they are just as normal as every other human being. Some people are bad and do horrible things, and stereotyping queer people as always good just so there is no bad reputation is borderline unrealistic. These people make me feel like banging a coconut on my head or some stupid shit
