Please do not get angry or triggered before reading. I used to be ARMY since MIC DROP happened, but due to the toxicity of k-pop stans, I have since left. I am going to share my opinion on the controversy and kpop in general, so if you are not interested, please scroll. Do not send hate, just listen. Thank you. TW: D0me$tic v!ol3nc3 For those that are unaware, BTS is under controversy (mainly J-Hope and RM Namjoon). RM and J-Hope were seen at a concert with Chris Brown, who was charged hurting Rihanna by smashing her head against the window and throwing her out of the vehicle while he drove. He was charged with SA towards several women. He even commented 'hoe' when someone criticized BTS for associating with him at a concert. I am even more concerned about how people reacting to this. Many ARMYs are defending and infantilizing their behaviors as if they were minors. Some say 'They were just having fun. Let them be.' or 'Let me listen to Chris Brown's music so I get cancelled to.' It was even more concerning when I saw a woman say 'I am BTS bitch/h03 before I am a woman.' I feel disgusted. I feel violated. I feel hurt. This is EXACTLY why women AND men do not come out publicly when a celebrity hurts them, because everyone kisses the celebrity's ass first. To add on, the armies who claimed to support women and spread 'kindness' reported The Pixel Project. The Pixel Project is a website/resource that helps women who experience ab*s3 and DV. STANS TRIED TAKING IT DOWN BECAUSE THEY CRITICIZED A BTS MEMBER. I feel that they don't realize that the second you are a public figure, your actions, movements, words, are monitored 24/7. You, as a public figure, influence everyone's decisions and ways of thinking. Therefore, one should be cautious of their words and actions. I can't stand the excuse 'they didn't know.' They have a PR team and make millions. Don't they have Google too? They can look up every controversy on the celebrities. Let me know what you think.
