I've been in a bit of a reading slump lately. Lately meaning probably a year and a half. It's been eating me up inside since I've spent so much money on physical copies of books and I haven't had much time or energy to read. I do want to read more philosophy books. So far, I've read Aurelius' Meditations and tried some of Nietzsche's works but I found that I could not understand a single paragraph of what he was saying. It seems a bit advanced for me, so I was hoping for something easier to read. I'd like to read more about stoicism, and perhaps absurdism. From what I can remember, I enjoyed Sappho's "Come Close," though I couldn't understand her poems on Troy. Still, it was rather enjoyable to read. I also enjoyed "If Cats Disappeared From the World" by Genki Nakamura. Maybe it's just my love for cats, but I found it to be very nice and cute, although a bit bittersweet. I don't remember the ending much. I know it's a huge thing to not judge a book by its cover, but I'm very picky about the cover art lol. I find that if I dislike the cover, I won't be inclined to read it. I appreciate any recommendations.
