One to two

I've had a crush on this girl for a year, and on december, it'll be 2 years already. I'm a girl too. And I know damn well I don't have a chance. It definitely has been very obvious but I still try to approach her because I want to be friends with her. I've liked her for three school years already, and on those years, she was always the one who initiated the convo between us. Back then, I didn't think much of it. But looking back, I realized, maybe she wanted to be friends too but I was the one who kept pulling away. So, yesterday, I texted her. Well, not really. It was awkward and yeah it never really went anywhere. I don't know, maybe she thinks I'm weird now? Is there any tips at all on how I can approach her again? Because we're not classmates anymore, and I don't have any excuses in mind😔
