Self h♡rm
This is my first time using this app..and I think I should remind that English is not my first language, so I'm sorry in advance for my mistakes.
This isn't something that started recently; I’ve been in the habit of self-harming for about three years now. In all that time, no one has been able to help me. Only two of my friends know about it, but since they’re my age, there’s nothing they can do; as for my family, they never really noticed—or perhaps they did notice but just didn't care. Either way.
I use shards of broken glass. Whenever something fragile broke, I would collect the small, sharp pieces and keep them behind an artificial plant next to my bed—and I still do. I’ve gathered a large number of these small, centimeter-sized fragments and use them haphazardly. I don’t use them near the veins or wrists; instead, I quickly drag and scratch them across the skin of my thighs, arms, fingers, and similar areas. I keep scratching until blood appears; if I don’t see blood, I can’t stop because it doesn’t feel like enough. I need to feel the pain in every single cell and see the bleeding before I can finally stop.I don’t know if this counts as masochism or not. I’ve thought a lot about why I do this; the pain is absolutely excruciating. So why do I keep going? I wondered if it was because I wanted to feel something, and then I wondered if it was just to get attention. I hope I’m not attention-starved, because I’ve always detested people like that, and it would be awful to realize that I was doing it myself—just so someone would notice me, care about me more, and show me affection. But there’s a contradiction here, because I do this in the middle of the night—at times when no one is paying attention or anywhere near me. I suppose it doesn't matter much, since no one ever did that for me anyway. Those two friends of mine know they can't stop me. Is there anyone who can help? Tell me what to do? If you need to know, I just turned 16.I was doing this even on my birthday
