Okay so basically... I have a crush on my best friend, let's call her Shumai. We are both girls btw- if you were curious. Now I have been friends with Shumai ever since grade 8, and we're currently in grade 10. I've only realized that I truly liked her more than anyone else in my friend group and Shumai likes to hear me talk and she'd always have time to listen to me yap about literally anything. What could possibly be the problem?? Spoilers: She likes someone else oh yes she does. It's ridiculous because it's unfair. I tried to win her heart by truly pouring out my heart for her and she chooses this random 11th grader that doesn't even know her name- all because that 11th grader looks hot. I still haven't given up on Shumai because I just hope she comes to her senses. I KNOW for a fact that she'll move on from this random eventually but in the meantime, what can I do about this??? I'm afraid if I bottle this up I might lash out at some point but who do I even tell?? My friend group will fucking spill the beans to Shumai if I ever told them about this whole dilemma. Can't tell my parents either not bc they're homophobic but because I'm "too young" to be dating. I'm just stuck.
