Salt and ash (poem)

It rains down from the sky Ash seen by bleeding eyes Cursed again to survive Burned runes seared into my skin Burned ruins crumbling again Salt of hatred in the earth The fields scoured of their worth They thought this was my end This is another annihilation yet again Harmony of salt and ash Could the future ever be destroyed with another past? Let the flames fill my lungs I'll roar the truth with my severed tongue Desolate and dead I lift my eyes again I would have never had a chance if not for fate. Blood from the stones flow into a reddened vital lake Pour out your wrath and I'll drink your hate Stinging my eyes from tears ran dry Burning my flesh again and again Norns high above forbid my end Cut me down and I still rise Before the last winter I still try in the dust l do what I must Your crimes like a forgotten dream Ragnarok will hear my scream Burn my hope and kill all life Shade the sky from starry light Yet in the salted ashes our kind still rise
