What would you do?
Sooo, this actually goes back to when I was nine years old. Just for context, my parents never got married they broke up while my mom was pregnant with me. Anyway, so it's obviously a Friday and it's the weekend I get to see my dad. He picks me up at my mom's house and they were chatting while I went to get my bags.
I walk outside and my mom says: "That's gonna be hard to tell her" now I was the type of kid to always eavesdrop especially my parents. It's always just pick up and drop off. They never speak. Back to topic, I'm walking to the car with my dad and I asked him what were him and my mom talking about. My dad says "I got a new job" I got really excited and I asked him where and he told me that it was a teaching job in Cambodia...
He had three weeks left in my country before he went and I was distraught. But I never cried or anything but not until the day of his flight. My mother is super strict so I had no choice but to go to school the day of his flight. His plane left at 2pm which was the same time school ended. When I checked the clock it was around 11am and I just started crying.
My teacher came over and said that I should probably write a card and send it to him . She helped me make the envelope and the letter which actually cheered me up a lot but the sad thing was he never got to receive it and I accidentally threw it away while cleaning my room one day..
