What lie do you tell yourself most often?

I tend to lie to myself a lot, but I have this one thing pop up in my head when I saw this prompt. I found myself just automatically forcing myself not to care. “I don't care anymore.” “Can't do anything about it now.” “It had happened already.” “It didn't mean a thing to me.” I used care a lot, like a lot. I still do, but now it just feels “odd” if I physically express it. Little me thought caring was a good. Like what was I supposed to do? That's all I know at the time. From time to time, it started feeling like I'm caring too much. We all get that feeling of being “too much” in a way. In reality, I'm still me. That same girl who actively cares over tiny things. Someone ignores me and I couldn't tell if they meant it or not? Yes, I probably overthink about it for a few days until now. That one time I said something that sounded mean? Still remember it now and still blame myself about it. When I had let down someone who believed in me? Yup, still hurts and I now avoid doing things that will result to that. Those test I blew off? I would act like it didn't bother me so that I don't have to cry about it. Just act nonchalant about it, even when you want to talk to someone on how much it STILL bothers you. I know others experienced this too lol. Maybe one day we could actually care without being viewed as sensitive. Thanks for reading this btw. Pls excuse my grammar and punctuation. Have a lovely day or night!!! 😚
