What's a smell that brings back a specific memory?

What's a smell that brings back a specific memory?. I would say the smell of lavender because one of my ex best friend Mom always wore lavender perfume and that friend always used to smell of lavender and one day after school we were hanging out at my house with that friend and randomly I just hugged him because I falt a little drained from school. And I just smelled lavender and I think that was one of the best hugs of my life. I can still remember it very clearly. But me and that friend grew apart when we got older I still miss him and the memories. I think his one of the very little people I showed my real self.
