For the record.
I'm having trouble sleeping again. This scares me because people don't learn and history repeats itself. I see so much romanticized propaganda about war so I want to get two things straight.
The u.s. LOST it's war in Vietnam and the u.s. LOST it's war in Afghanistan.
The victors of those wars were the Vietnamese Comminist Party (Viet-Cong) and the Afghani Taliban.
Because people forget Vietnam and talk about how aweful war is (think about the soldiers) they forget that the u.s. sends it's own citizens and others into war that it looses and instead of being held accountable for sending teenagers into a modern meat grinder they talk about the tragedy of war as if it's an inevitable necessity like a dying grandparent.
I said violence is a cycle and that is true.
When you can choose to fight against corrupt governments that is a better choice of a fight than to fight against foreigners trying to get by in their own lands.
Iran is proving this right now.
I wish I could say I was part of the glorious u.s. victory in Afghanistan but that would be a lie so I'm told to imply that I should be respected for being involved in a conflict that was lost by a massive modern millitary to teenagers who were high on hashish in the mountains of Kandahar.
The u.s. LOST in Vietnam, Afghanistan, and is now losing in Iran.
That is an embarrassment that I have to carry with me BECAUSE of my service to failed state and millitary.
To demand respect for causing and losing conflicts that never needed to happen is ridiculous and blood ia now on my hands as well as as the hands of the pathetic idiots who sent us to die for lithium and opium.
I am guilty just like the bird brained politicians who sent me and paid me to deal in blood and death.
I grew up as a hunter, mason, naturalist, and scholar. I was often called "bright".
Now I am a veteran of failure because I was too foolish to criticize the lies I was told about foreign conflicts.
