I want to go so far away, To rest and feel the gentle breeze caress my face. I want to go so far away, To forget what I lived, who I was, who I am, where I come from, and where I am heading. I want to go so far away, To lose myself among the tall green grass of an open field. I want to go so far away, To lose my mind, to let myself just feel, and to leave all reason behind. I only want to forget, I only want to live, I only want to explore. To explore the world without fear, to feel that if I stumble, I won’t fall off a cliff. I want to live weeping, laughing, raging. I want to let myself feel without the fear of breaking, And let myself let go, without the fear of shame. I want to leave. I want to go far from a society that makes me feel small, vulnerable, and out of place. To walk away from the monotony of their empty words, Cast into the wind, changing to suit whoever speaks them. I want to escape everything that haunts me. I want to go so far away.
