Used to it.

I am used to being mocked and treated poorly. It makes me who I am. In a way it makes me who I am. I am more than a mirror to reflect the distain, xenophobia, bigotry and ignorance that's directed towards me. I absorb that and I make it stronger. I focus on it and try to use it WHERE IT IS APPROPRIATE TO DO SO. . I bought some things at a restaurant and the waiter accidentally added extra items to my order. I just asked the man sitting next to me if they'd like extra food. He said yes and so I gave it to him. I could have been angry at the waiter but there's not much point in dragging it out and I try to be fairly quick about things in public. . I am angry when people try insult me or others for being different. For for insulting others when they make an earnest and fair challenge for degenerate social behaviors. Samuel L Jackson made a brilliant point about language when a reporter would not use a specific word but still asked Mr. Jackson that word. He wasn't insulted by the word. He was insulted that the reporter asked Mr. Jackson about the word but had no conviction to elaborate on or discuss the word. What Mr. Jackson did was insult the interviewer because Mr. Jackson is not a prop or curio. He is a man and he deserves to be treated with some respect like a man. That includes discussing specific language that is directly outlined and not merely alluded to. In fact, Mr. Jackson had to explain part of a role to DeCaprio when DeCaprio struggled to use the language in the script. Mr. Jackson outlined that being angry at language is not righteous the way that wrath directed at malice is righteous. . I'm used to being attacked for who I am or what I say because people find it much more difficult to attack me for my actions, what I actually do & what I intend.

Anger is information. Acknowledge the feeling first; advice second.
