Drifting Away
There are moments in my day where I would ponder about random life experiences whenever things would get too overwhelming for me.
For example, I would think about the past and how bright they all be. But then, the present strikes me down—they're no longer that bright. Even Science backs up the fact that our eyes' perception of colors unsaturates over time.
Then, the future haunts me—I'd think about how the moment right now would be a memory some random time later. I'd either cringe or reminisce this time. It's all so crazy that we were formed by little stars or by Adam and Eve, either way, we were all created by something divine.
We were all created from dust and we'll all go back to ashes over time. I'd also think that "if we pass away any time, anything we experienced would be futile. It would just harm those who we left on this Earth. No benefits for me, no problems for me, but all is left for them."
Why does life have to be.. life? Every thought I have keeps clashing because, I'd think that life is something that we experience and it'll all just go away. I'd sometimes also think that life is something we experience and we are lucky to do so. I also saw that life should be a reasonable defense to live. YOLO and all that stuff about life.
It's just that, the past, present, and future, are all going to be memories one day. Everyone we met are bound to drift away from us one day and it hurts. We grow from those separations, but we are left with broken pieces of ourselves, trying to stick those remnants to make it whole again—to make us experience those again. Over and over, we try, but we can't put them back. We learn to stand up from the past, we apply those in the present, and we think about a better tomorrow that nobody else has touched.
I'm not going to lie, I feel a sense of nostalgia thinking about what's to come lol
