A Secret
This has been stuck in my subconscious probably, but I want to acknowledge this thought.
I never thought I'd think about running away until my grandmother passed. After her passing, my uncle moved in with us. At first, we were just adjusting to everything—things were going okay. Until we had school, we had to be away from home a lot. Since my mom works too and my uncle stays at home to look after the dog, he's just there, using his phone.
My mom took him since my grandmother was always worried about my uncle, and my uncle depended on my grandmother. Now, he relies on my mom—too much.
He observes her every move, butts in conversations he is not a part of, he constantly lies, he constantly calls my mom when she is clearly working (she blocked him now cuz of that), he also kept looking through stuff that isn't his. My mom has always scolded him for that behavior, yet he doesn't listen. At times, he does, but most of the time, he doesn't. He also stole coins from my mom's purse in which she earned through selling—she used those coins to buy us food, but all was left was a little amount of money which couldn't buy a meal. He grabbed those coins just to buy a brand new speaker, in which was noisy most of the time imo.
My mom wanted to kick him out, but she felt bad because he is her brother. Plus, he doesn't want to leave even though my mom has always told him to leave for his repetitive behavior of lying and using stuff that isn't his.
