There is darkness and evil in the world. I have seen it. I've also seen true beauty, honor, and glory. The nature of evil often uses lies and illusions to try to make what is empty and ugly look attractive and to hide or mar what is beautiful and pure. I have been kissed by the goddess Skadi herself. It's not a night club where I met her. It was in the wild beyond the daily influence of humankind. She was with me and because of my gratitude for her harsh beauty she leaned close to me from the dazzling light around her and kissed my face. It was cold but I was deeply grateful. I breathed in an air so pure no scent could ever replicate it. It lingered in my lungs. Then she was gone as quickly as she arrived. I still looked on at the aura of divine beauty around me. I am a beautiful man of muscle and eyes like ice and starlight but I felt ugly and unworthy compared to the beauty of Skadi's aura around me. Then from somewhere far away she whispered in my ear, "Yes, you are less beautiful than we are in your physical body, but in your soul your gratitude is true and pure. That is why you were worthy of one kiss."
