Who else went down the music pipeline?

From pop to pop rock to pop punk to hardcore punk to crustpunk... now anything sounds good to me even songs I absolutely hated before because they were "too heavy". Anyone else expirience this in a non corny way? Also lowk does anyone have recommendations for any good crust punk bands that are active still?
