Guy im seeing let's his white friends say the n word.. but hes black?

So I am a white 17 yr old girl seeing this 17 yr old black guy and hes really nice funny and interesting to talk to but this one thing bothers me and I dont know if I SHOULD be bothered by it. He has mostly white friends and he says he "gives" them the pass to say the n word and its honestly pretty jarring since they say it with the hard r and everything. Where I'm from and the friends that I'm friends with we take that word very seriously and I can't even imagine saying it due to all the terrible history the word has, but he seems totally fine to let his friends say it and he thinks its like funny. I honestly dont know how to come at this because why should I, a white person, tell a black person whether or not its okay for him to be giving out these nonexistent passes to people? He seems fine with it but idk should I stop talking to him over it?? We aren't too serious at all so its not like we are in a relationship but I do talk to him often enough for it to be an issue. Ive talked about it to him before and he honestly doesnt even see it as an issue but it rubs me the wrong way. Can any black people put their input on this and how to deal w this problem (if it even is)??
