I honestly think religion is kinda stupid. Growing up my family always tells us to say our gods name whenever there's a calamity, such as earthquakes. I never really understood why we must to do it, cause what will this god do? I always think religion is a coping mechanism to people, so they can believe someone or something will save them in an event of misfortune. Maybe I'll never understand it but I prefer it that way, cause the two religion I personally read about is kind of similar, preach the God so they will save us when the time comes, if you don't you'll get sent through a place where bad people goes, there's a middle place, it's earth where our actions will determine our place in the afterlife. Now that I think about it, it's kinda similar to the old times where the ruler punishes people who disobeys their word or action or people that goes against them. However the people that worships them? They stay neutral or even has the opportunity to work with the ruler. I don't intend to disrespect or mock religion, I'm simply confused on what really is a religion.
