TO ALL PARENTS!
You cant come home irritated and annoyed from work and be mad that your teenager is holed up in their room and dont come out. Most likely your teenager does come out of their room often ,but not when you're there. Because 9/10 you tend to subconsciously take out your frustration on your kids bc you cant do it to the people at work and the feeling of constantly walking on eggshells around out own parents is exausting. My dad used to be like that and he used to nit pick EVERYTHING when he got home and was in a constant bad mood .When he left the house literally everyone could breathe easier. I get that you're frustrated but if you have one ,talk with your partner to get the bad feelings out of your system or just tell your kids to leave you alone for a while and take a breather. Your kids DO want to spend time with you but now when you are about to snap at any given moment.
