Majors and stuff
I started dreaming of being an architect around 5th grade, because I spent a good amount of my childhood playing decorating and building games. Then, I basically worked towards it by focusing on school harx throughout middle school.
Then, by highschool I had a major personality change. I wish my love for stem and studying was still there but now it just irritates me and angers me. I've decided to go to digital media design instead because I can tolerate/enjoy (I guess) it more...
I don't know what's wrong really. Went through burn out and my relationship w work was never the same no matter how much I tried to see it the way I used to.
When people who knew me ask me about my major, some say they thought I would go to a stem-related course. (New people in my life are happy I found something that makes me happy. Others who've seen me go through the rough time trying to stick to stem are glad of it too) True, I did too. A part of me thinks it's cool but I just can't get into it. Occasionally it makes me sad. Lately I've been letting go of it a little better but...yeah. It surfaces still once in a while.
It makes me sad that I still kinda want it but really can't for my mental health...I like to tell myself I'll find my way back to it and it won't have all been a waste...it's really the only thing keeping me going.
