Best friend? Boyfriend?
My best friend has a new boyfriend. A year ago she had this toxic, manipulative boyfriend, and she was blind in love. Luckily, she saw it and got out of the cycle. Now she's with this new guy. They've been together for 2 months now. He's really sweet, really funny, and a best friend to all. I have no problem with him, but I have a problem with the "boyfriend affect." Every time I go to my best friend's house there are times when they're on call mostly all night. We never call that recently anymore. They call every single day. We don't text each day. They do. We used to call a lot. We used to text every single day. The "boyfriend affect" happened in her last relationship too. I feel unseen and ignored. I give hints that I grt lonely, because I don't want to tell her directly, "Hey, girl, can you maybe call with your boyfriend tomorrow? This is our girl time now. I don't see you that much and get to spend 1 on 1 time," because I feel like it will hurt her, even though it's the truth. I repsect their relationship, but they need to respect our friendship too. She's the only friend I have right now, because something in me feels attached to her only to only spend time with her and it's kind of making me dissocial, because I actually have a lot of friends and I love people.
What do I do? How do I communicate with her, how do I fix my dissocial life into being social again, and how do I handle it to not only let her be the only friend in my life at the moment?
