A jester in one's heart

Some people don't fix problems—they just find a temporary distraction until you're out of the picture. We started during freshman Intramurals a low-key MU built on late-night chats, gifts, and our daily dismissal hugs. By second year, things crumbled after a silent summer, and my long, vulnerable text left me feeling foolish. Still, the hugs continued. On the first day of third year, she gave me a letter asking to be official, but I turned her down; her mixed signals and touchy behavior with other girls made me too jealous. We managed to end the year as friends, but this summer, she suddenly distanced herself from our barkada. That’s when I uncovered the truth: during our situationship, she had a fling with my friend behind my back. It completely turned me off, and now I’m stuck wondering about the timeline, unable to even find the words to confront them. Should I chat or start fourth year completely acting like nothing happened. We're in the same friendgroup which makes it worse and schools bound to start soon.
