So I used to be a closeted bi guy who had a massive crush on one of my guy friends. My friend was straight and had a crush on a girl who was also our friend. I had previously had a crush on that same girl, so at the time I actually had a crush on both of them. One day, out of curiosity, I asked my guy friend a "hypothetical" question: Which would be worse if I had a crush on him, or if I had a crush on his crush? He was so overly disgusted by both ideas. He said both would be horrific and horrible, and that he hated either option so much. After that I just buried both crushes and pretended I never asked. I initially intended on never telling him the truth... But It's been a couple years, I'm out and I don't have feelings for him anymore. I just recently told him that I had a crush on both him and his crush back then, he said it was no worries and it was cool. He's chill now. He's not homophobic anymore, and he's a much better person. We're much closer friends this year. It's such a relief.
