I've always thought that the way I'd get a boyfriend would be like in the books or movies, like we started off as friends, then slowly got closer or something, but that's hardly the case anymore. My first and only boyfriend happened that way, we were friends and one day we were hanging out and we just slowly realized we both started getting feelings for one another, no talking stage, set up, date, just hanging out then getting little crushes. I feel like most of dating now is hitting someone up saying, "ur a bad wanna go on a date" I've always wanted to find "the one" based off of starting off as friends. People have texted me before but then get bored after 2 days cuz they just want to Crack or something, but i want to actually get to know these people, like start off with texting whats the favorite color or what are your hobbies and start off as friends like text everyday until it becomes something more. Too many people just text and immediately call it a "talking stage" i don't want a talking stage, I want it to be sweet. I've only ever done that one time, I had been texting this guy since freshman year, and now into the summer of senior year, we were still texting occasionally and apparently this whole time, he didn't look like the photos he would send. It was DEVASTATING cuz I thought me and this guy would eventually get together. I want a cute story like "yeah I fell in love with ur dad in highschool bla bla bla until we actually started dating" not something like "Yeah kids, you're daddy said I was a baddie on Instagram and he was my talking stage for 2 weeks" I just want a cute way to start dating someone. Side note: this person I sort of have a crush on is cuz he was friends with one of my friends and now is in our group of friends, and i think hes cute, hes SUPER nice, smart and funny but i don't think he'd ever see me the same way tbh, hes been in the group for like a year and absolutely nothing, I wanna date him so bad 💔 ((but I also hate sex))
