Some friendships don’t need a status update
Eight months of nothing, then a two-hour conversation that starts mid-sentence. No apology round, no catching-up ritual, no scorekeeping about who messaged last.
Those are rare and they’re not maintained by effort. Don’t confuse the low upkeep for low value.
