What's the last thing that made you laugh out loud?
So there's this OLD anime called Ranma ½ (NOT the remade version—that one hurts my soul). I usually watch anime dubbed. Yes, I know, it's a super unpopular opinion.
The original English voice actors seemed like they did the job well for the most part. The one voicing Ranma had this moment where I'm SURE he went off script and they just kept it.
So this woman is like. SUPER after Ranma. Already calling herself his wife and everything, and he's really not into it.
• Her: "Call me Kodachi Saotome." (Saotome is Ranma's last name.)
• Ranma: "KODACHI SAOtoh my god..."
😂 It was just so unexpected. He started with the kinda loud and appalled tone you'd expect, but then tapered off into muttering through his teeth. That did NOT feel scripted. God I wish that kind of acting were more common in anime. It'd be a nice relief from the tropes that are just beaten to death.
I almost never laugh at things out loud when I'm alone, but man, this one got me good.
