Why Does Choosing a College Feel So Scary?
I've been carrying this for days.
I'm about to start college and I have two schools to choose from. School #1 is smaller, closer to home, and more affordable at around 8k per semester. School #2 has a bigger campus and feels more like the college experience people imagine, but it's an hour away and costs around 10k per semester.
The problem is that they lead to different paths. In School #1, I would take HRDM, while in School #2, I would take Education major in English. My mom seems to prefer the second school because of the environment, but I'm more concerned about the expenses since my family isn't always financially stable.
What makes this decision so hard is that I'm scared of choosing wrong. If I choose HRDM and struggle, I'm afraid I'll hear, "I told you so." If I choose the more expensive option and fail, I'm afraid I'll hear, "We spent all that money for nothing."
I've already been dealing with school stress, family pressure, and worries about the future. I want to make the practical choice, but I also don't want to regret it later. Right now, I feel stuck between what's affordable and what might offer a better experience, and honestly, I don't know what to do.
