Yesterday's Problem

If anyone is fond of Matt Sturniolo, I suggest you read this. Today I got Matt Sturniolo's new book he made. It's called "What Happened Yesterday". I read it all in one day, despite my brother coming to visit and us going out to my aunt's and to a restaurant. The book is a memoir about how Matt dealt with his anxiety, panic attacks, paranoia, and depression throughout his life. Reading it all made me feel like I wasn't alone going through my mental problems. I cried 4 times reading it, but laughed a lot too. It amazes me that with books that I have no idea what's going on, I can't finish them. Yet I finished this book in under 24 hours. " Everything you want in life is yours. Dream big, and let nothing hold you back." I have never been more proud of something in my entire life. Matt doesn't even know I exist, yet I felt he was talking to me through the book. Reading it made me realize how much I ignore my mental health, seeing it at just something everyone experiences. But I'm still not wrong on that. Anxiety, paranoia, etc, is something everyone experiences. For example, going to school by yourself, making new friends, talking to a therapist, or even ordering food by yourself. And it also made me realize how much Matt's brother's, Chris, Nick, and Justin, helped him throughout his life. I learned so much about Matt's life than I could ever imagine. Because you can't really express your emotions too well through a camera or a video. And I cannot say how proud I am and how lucky I feel to be reading this book. And a message to Matt, (though he won't see this) Thank you. Thank you for making me not feel alone, and genuinely making me laugh. You and your brothers have helped me so much yet you don't even know. I can't explain how grateful I am to have discovered you. Once again, thank you so much.
