Problems opening up
It’s something I’ve struggled with for a long time. The few times I allowed myself to have expectations or truly open up to someone—whether romantically or platonically—it always ended in disappointment. Because of that, I’ve reached a point where I genuinely crave deeper, more meaningful connections, yet I’m afraid to let anyone get too close. I’m scared of getting hurt again, of disappointing myself, and of unintentionally hurting the other person in the process. I only have one person I truly consider a friend, and while I’m terrified of losing him, I also do my best not to become overbearing or dependent.
